Egil Kipste
Casting Director
Disney Theatrical Productions (Australia)
After graduating from the NIDA Director's Course, Egil worked
as a freelance theatre director with most companies around
Australia in the 1980's. Productions included Rents for Gordon/Frost,
Cyrano de Bergerac in Urdu for India's national Theatre Repertory
and The Golden Age and Kiss of the Spiderwoman for Nimrod.
He was also Associate Director at Nimrod and the Artistic
Director of the Q theatre. He holds a Master of Arts in Theatre
Studies.
Egil lectured in English and Theatre Studies at the University
of Sydney and UNSW before becoming Casting Director at Sydney
Theatre Company. The major musicals he cast there were Merrily
We Roll Along, The Sunshine Club, Sunset Boulevard (later
cancelled) and Steel City. He was also a casting consultant
on Rent. After six years at STC, Egil was appointed Casting
Director for Disney Theatrical Productions (Australia) and
is currently casting THE LION KING. |

Anne Driscoll
Casting Coordinator
Disney Theatrical Productions (Australia)
Anne graduated from the NIDA Technical Production Course
in 1997. She has since worked as a freelance stage manager
and assistant stage manager for various producers. Some of
those productions include Closer, Navigating, Betrayal and
A Delicate Balance for Sydney Theatre Company; Fame - The
Musical and Shout - The Legend of the Wild One for Jacobsen
Entertainment and a number of productions within the Olympic
Arts Festival including stage managing the Opening Ceremony
directed by Stephen Page. Anne joined the Casting Team at
Disney in April 2003. |

Annabel Scholes
Resident Director
THE LION KING
Annabel graduated from the NIDA Directing Course in 2000.
She has directed several productions including; Jennifer
Compton's The Big Picture for the New Theatre, Newtown, The
Stars Come Out for Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival,
Brad Fraser's Wolfboy and Unidentified Human Remains And
the True Nature of Love, Cho Cho San by Daniel Keene, Shakespeare's
Macbeth, and Glory by Steve J Spears. Last year Annabel was
the Assistant Director to Gale Edwards for Sydney Theatre
Company's Soulmates by David Willaimson. Annabel previously
worked as a lecturer in the School of Communications at Charles
Sturt University |

Anthony Gabriele
Music Director
THE LION KING
Anthony made his professional debut with the Gordon/Frost
Organisation, touring Australia and Hong Kong as Assistant
Music Director on South Pacific. Amongst the engagements
that followed were as Assistant Music Director for the Australian
tour of Blood Brothers, Co-Music Director for the Australian
Premiere Concert Production of Dear World (The Australian
Opera), Assistant Music Director for the Australian and Asian
tour of Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera, and a tour of Australia,
New Zealand and Asia as a keyboard player in the orchestra
for The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber with Sarah Brightman & Anthony
Warlow (The Really Useful Company/IMG/Duet Productions).
Other music theatre credits include, Music Director for the
Australian Premiere production of A Grand Night for Singing
(Footbridge Theatre Sydney), Music Director for Chess - The
Musical (Princess Theatre Melbourne),Music Supervisor & Vocal
Coach for Kevin Jacobsen's Australian Premiere production
of Larry Hart's Sisterella (Regent Theatre Melbourne) and
as Music Director on various projects for Walt Disney Special
Events Group Australia. Anthony's opera credits include Assistant
Chorus Master & Italian Language Coach on La Bohème
(The National Opera of Wellington) and as Assistant Conductor & Italian
Language Coach on The Barber of Seville for the West Australian
Opera Company as part of their Young Artists Development
Programme. Anthony made his on-stage debut as 'Manny' (the
accompanist) performing opposite Amanda Muggleton in the
Sydney Theatre Company/Essgee Entertainment production of
Master Class (Playhouse Theatre Melbourne). Two Australian
tours staged in the "Big Top" followed: firstly as Music
Director for The Really Useful Company production of CATS
and then as Music Director for The Gordon/Frost Organisation,
SEL & The Really Useful Company production of GREASE - The
Mega Musical. Anthony then toured Australia playing keyboard
in the orchestra for The Pirates of Penzance (Essgee Entertainment)
and then was Associate Music Director for the 2002 Helpmann
Awards. Anthony was recently the Associate Music Director
on the production of The Wizard of Oz for The Gordon/Frost
Organisation, SEL and Macks Entertainment. |

Paul Cordeiro
Resident Dance Supervisor
THE LION KING
Paul was born in Singapore, trained in Perth at WAAPA completing
a Diploma of Dance. His first engagement was with One Extra
Company. He toured nationally with The King and I 1991 - 1992
and with West Side Story in 1995. He worked with Flamenco
Master Antonio Vargas, and with Opera Australia with Stephen
Page. Paul has performed his own work at the Studio at the
Opera House as well as having his own season at Belvoir St.
Theatre. He was Assistant Choreographer on the Sydney Olympics
Opening Ceremony 2000. As an Independent Performer and Choreographer
Paul works constantly. |

Lyn
Associate Director
THE LION KING
Born in Swansea, South Wales.
Theatre in London includes: Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, Les Miserables,
Damn Yankees!, Miss Saigon, Hey! Mr Producer. Has worked
at almost every major regional Theatre in the United Kingdom
and for Jean Ann Ryan Productions World Wide.
Teaching: Actors Center (London), Royal Academy of Music,
Duke University (Recipient of the Hal Brody Fellowship).
Anthony was Resident Director of the London Production of
the LION KING, then the Gazelle National Tour before becoming
Supervising Resident Director and now Associate Director
World Wide.
Anthony was a founding member and past Chairman of West End
Cares.

Clement
Ishmael
Music Supervisor
THE LION KING
Clement is a conductor, composer and arranger. He is a graduate
of the University of Toronto and Royal Conservatory of Music,
where he specialised in composition and conducting as well
as singing with Joyce Britten. Conducting credits include
Abbey Players Opera Company, Ad Astra Chorus, Addison Jazz
Ensembles, West London Gospel Choir, and this year he will
be conducting a new opera at Sadler's Wells. West End credits
include: Five Guys Named Moe, Ain't Misbehavin', Smokey Joe's
Café. He has also directed and arranged the music
for the shows Sweet Lorraine, 3 Ms Behaving, Up Against the
Wall, The Amen Corner, The Grapevine, Centralia and Soul
Train. His classical compositions and arrangements have been
performed worldwide as well as being broadcast by BBC Television
and Radio. Most recently his Opera Grazyna was performed
at the Royal Opera House's Linbury Studio, and he has been
commissioned to write a new opera for W11 Opera Company,
to be performed in September 2005.

Marey
Griffith
Production Dance Supervisor
THE LION KING
A native New Yorker, Miss Griffith toured worldwide with
the acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as a featured
dancer/soloist for 8 years. She is most known for her performances
in the works of the late, world renowned choreographer Ulysses
Dove. Other guest appearances include Déjà vu
Dance Theatre, and the Spoleto festival in Italy. She worked
as co-choreographer on the star studded production of The
Wizard of Oz in concert at Avery Fisher Hall with Nathan
Lane, Joel Grey, Jewel and Natalie Cole. Miss Griffith has
appeared in numerous commercials and voice-overs. Her soap
opera credits include As the World Turns and Another World.
She has also performed with Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster,
PA. Miss Griffith joined the creative team of THE LION KING
in August of 2000. She feels privileged to work with Choreographer
Garth Fagan.

Aubrey Lynch II
Associate Producer
THE LION KING
Aubrey studied Chemistry at the University of Michigan,
before being invited into the Alvin Ailey American Dance
Theatre as a Principal Dancer. He has traveled worldwide
leading dance master classes, including workshops for deaf
children. As a guest speaker, he has been a regular visitor
at The Juilliard School. He played the lead in the film The
Next Step, and has appeared commercially with George Michael,
En Vouge, and for Tanqueray gin and Rollerballs. Aubrey also
owns his own line of hand made wearable art. He was the original
dance captain for the Broadway company of THE LION KING before
becoming the Associate Choreographer. |
